I’m a master educator who taught middle school in rural Vermont for 15 years. In 2015, I decided to combine my passion for teaching with my passion for dogs. I immersed myself in scientifically based positive dog training methodology. I mentored with the best trainers in the area attending and assisting in training classes as well as private behavior consultations. I was dog program coordinator at Central Vermont Humane Society and spent hundreds of hours working with shelter dogs and the people who adopt them. I assessed dog temperament, created behavior modification plans, and then communicated the plans to the rest of the dog team. Of course, I also spent lots of time training the dogs themselves.
Currently, I teach classes at Onion River Animal Hospital as well as working with private clients and teaching group classes through Playful Pup Dog Training in East Montpelier.
