Group Classes: I'm not taking new students at this time. Former students may sign up for group classes on a first come, first serve basis. New classes start September 12.
Private Consults: I am not having in person consultations at this time, but I am providing phone consultations. We can chat about your hopes and concerns for your dog, problem solve behavior management, and discuss training strategies. I charge $20 for 1-30 minutes, $40 for 31-60 minutes, etc. If you're interested, give me your phone number and a few times that may work for you, and we'll get something on the schedule.
I’m a master educator who taught middle school in rural Vermont for 15 years. In 2015, I decided to combine my passion for teaching with my passion for dogs. I immersed myself in scientifically based positive dog training methodology. I mentored with the best trainers in the area attending and assisting in training classes as well as private behavior consultations. I was dog program coordinator at Central Vermont Humane Society and spent hundreds of hours working with shelter dogs and the people who adopt them. I assessed dog temperament, created behavior modification plans, and then communicated the plans to the rest of the dog team. Of course, I also spent lots of time training the dogs themselves.
Currently, I work with private clients and teach group classes at Playful Pup Dog Training in East Montpelier.
